The TWS-13A-L is a thermal scope designed for engagements at Long range. It is capable of recognizing a man-size target out to 430 meters while identifying it out to 215 meters. The compact design allows the TWS-13A-L to be comfortably mounted on AR-style platforms.
The TWS-13 series provides operators a significant advantage in detecting, observing, and engaging targets in all conditions, day or night due to its advanced thermal core that sees heat produced by living and mechanical things. This allows users to see possible targets or threats they would otherwise miss using traditional image intensifiers.
The TWS-13A-L has a 50mm lens for long range engagements and is housed in a rugged/lightweight 6061 T6 aluminum body. Its powerful 336×256 VOx detector stands up to recoil and four user-selectable reticles allow the system to be matched up to various platforms. Control layout is simple and intuitive. Operators can master the controls in less than five minutes without using the manual (though we always suggest complete familiarization with the operator’s manual before field use). But, the ease of operation allows new users to be trained on the TWS-13 series with minimal time investment.
The TWS-13A-L features both 2x and 4x digital zoom, polarity control, and an internal photo cache. The photography option is especially well-suited to surveillance operations, giving the operator the ability to internally store up to 400 images. Images are downloadable via USB. The systems are available in either CR123 or AA Battery configurations.
The STANAG mount interface for the TWS-13 platform comes with a thumbscrew rail-grabber mount, but can be swapped out by the user to a LaRue LT100 ACOG mount for quick-detach purposes.
